~ The Official Bio ~
Audrey Caylin is a full-time dreamer and aspiring independent author, living on words and the wild beauty of life. Somewhere along the way, she began searching for green flashes during sunsets and embraced a mission to bring hope to the world through her writing. Being a ghostwriter for God is now her greatest joy and honor as she weaves stories of faith and feeling for other young adults. She’s a contributor to the Project Canvas book, future freelance editor, and a member of the Young Writers Workshop. When she’s not writing or dreaming, she’ll probably be driving along the west coast with the windows rolled down or with her face tilted to the sky on a rainy day.

~ The Unofficial Bio Thing ~
Hello! My (pen)name is Audrey Caylin. One of my former ballet teachers once said I should get into musical theater or acting, but if something is funny, I can’t keep a straight face for the life of me. Instead, I laugh so hard my eyes close and I can’t breathe, but as my favorite saying goes: “how wonderful is it that we laugh because our bodies cannot contain the joy.” I like to be poetic and deep but 90% of the time I’m astounded by my unfailing ability to be awkward. MBTI says I’m an INFJ, but also an INTJ, and I might come off as an ENFP if I’m excited, so I gave up on MBTI and embraced the fact that I’m spontaneous and structured at once, an old soul with a young heart, and always forget to take a certain black hair tie off my wrist.
I am a writer (in case you haven’t already guessed that). I love to see words explode on a page and drip with emotion, to create a new world and adventure with a few (million) taps of my fingers on a keyboard. I’ve been weaving stories together since I could write “The Hotel That Burned Down” at age six.
Nature is my happy place; rain is the rhythm of my dance, stardust and sunshine are my oxygen, and if traveling were free, I’d never come home. Accordingly, I love getting outside–climbing, biking, hiking, running–you name it. (maybe even sky-diving one day? I promise I’m not (that) crazy).
And I love trees. A lot
I also like empty notebooks, plot twists, beautiful book covers, cheese pizza, and tea. What those have to do with each other, I have no idea. But I might photobomb, drag you into a thunderstorm, and if I know you, I’m liable to tease mercilessly and be terribly sarcastic. Or scream and talk loudly about books. You’ll never know which until I meet you in person.
Despite all that, I love soul-searching conversations, beautiful honesty, the moments before dawn, green flashes at sunsets, stars at 2am, and anything else that can’t be described with words. I like to describe them anyway.
All those random facts aside, I find my identity in the One who knit my soul together and placed me on this beautiful, messy planet with a purpose in mind. He’s the Lover of my soul, and I refer to Him most often as my Lord God or Father. Even when I get lost in my head or tripped up by my goals, He’s there.
He gave me a passion to do hard things for His glory. My dream is to do just that through my blogging here and becoming an independent author.
Thank you for coming here and supporting me, if even for just a moment. If you’d like to stay a while, I’d love to meet you and chat with you in the comments section!
